God Is Up To Something

Jun 8, 2025    Pastor Gary Lee

In examining the profound lessons rooted in Acts 1 and the subsequent scriptures, we find ourselves at the cusp of a powerful spiritual transition. Here, the command to remain in Jerusalem and wait reminds us that divine timing is essential in our faith journey. We learn that while salvation is the beginning, sanctification demands a patient shift—a waiting season that prepares us for the power of the Holy Spirit. This season is not passive but is filled with anticipation for God's work that is happening behind the scenes. The retelling resonates with us, as many of us have experienced the smooth, sometimes unnoticed deliverance of God in our lives, when troubles suddenly lose their hold. This waiting teaches us reliance on God's promises and reminds us that He is always active, even when we feel stagnant. Waiting, here, becomes a season of preparation, reflecting that God is steadily at work on something transformative in each of us.
